Dr. Friend is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. She specializes in hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders) with a focus on myeloma.

She has been named a Charlotte magazine Top Doctor and a SouthPark Magazine Top Doctor for the Charlotte region for multiple years.

Dr. Friend received her medical degree at Ross University. She completed residency, chief residency and a fellowship at East Carolina University.
